Overview
For 350 years George Heriot's School has served as one of Scotland's most distinguished schools. Today, it flourishes as an independent co-educational day school. Children between 3 and 18, from in and around the city of Edinburgh, form a vibrant school community. Together with staff, parents, governors, alumni, and friends, Heriot's pupils hold true to the vision of Founder George Heriot.
Project Brief
In early 2017 George Heriot's school contacted Temporary Kitchens to discuss the provision of a temporary refectory containing seating for 250 pupils, a full commercial kitchen capable of producing 500 meals per day and a suitable toilet block.
In August 2017 we created a 40m x 12m solid wall clear span marquee containing the kitchen, seating area and toilets for the school which will be in use for 14 months whist their existing Refectory is being demolished and a new facility built.
